Laser cutting is the first step in most sheet metal jobs that require tight tolerances or complex geometry — anything from simple brackets to intricate enclosure panels with dozens of cutouts. Our laser cutting fleet is built around two distinct capabilities: compact CO₂ systems for detailed, short-run work, and high-powered fiber lasers built for thicker gauge material and large-format sheets.
The CO₂ system handles smaller parts and short production runs efficiently, with a compact footprint and minimal setup time — well suited to prototype work or jobs that don't justify the setup overhead of a larger machine. The fiber laser systems, by contrast, are built for speed and thickness. They cut faster, handle heavier gauge material with less difficulty, and include automated material handling that keeps the machine running with minimal operator intervention between parts.
Cut quality is maintained through nitrogen-assisted cutting, which produces smooth edges without the oxidation and dross that can result from other cutting gases, particularly on stainless steel. Combined with narrow kerf cutting — which removes less material per cut than wider cutting methods — this keeps material waste down and helps control per-part cost on larger sheet layouts.
The equipment spans a wide material range, from thin-gauge stainless steel through to thicker mild steel and aluminum, which means a single job with mixed material specifications can often run through our existing fleet without needing outside subcontracting. For high-volume orders, continuous unattended operation is available, allowing parts to run through the night without requiring a full shift of supervision.
