Powder Coating Line

An AAMA 2603/2604/2605-authorized powder coating line applies durable, consistent finishes across a wide range of metals and colors. Electrostatic application and in-house spot-checking keep every part within a tight 2–4 mil coating tolerance.

What's Included

Powder coating offers a meaningfully more durable finish than traditional liquid paint, largely because of how the process works. Powder is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat, forming a finish that bonds more tightly to the substrate and resists chipping, fading, and wear better than a comparable wet coat. Because the process runs on an industrial line rather than manual spray application, it also delivers that quality consistently across high production volumes rather than varying part-to-part.

Every part entering this line arrives already degreased and phosphated through our dip tank pretreatment process — surface preparation that's essential for coating adhesion and corrosion resistance, and handled as a distinct upstream stage rather than repeated here. This means the powder coating line can focus entirely on finish application and cure, with parts arriving in a consistent, coating-ready condition.

The line is authorized to AAMA 2603, 2604, and 2605 standards — recognized benchmarks for coating performance, particularly around weathering and finish durability — meaning parts coated here meet defined industry specifications rather than an in-house standard alone. This matters most for parts headed into outdoor, architectural, or long-service-life applications where finish failure isn't an acceptable outcome years down the line.

Every part on a production run is spot-checked during coating to confirm it falls within our standard of 2–4 mils of coating thickness. If a reading falls outside that range, it's corrected in-house before the part moves forward — coating thickness isn't left to chance on a production run. For applications with specific finish requirements outside our standard range, our team can work directly with you to match the part to spec.
